PESTECH always supports and contributes to health-related care and efforts as we believe that everyone should live life with dignity no matter what state they are in. With that, we continue our support to Hospis Malaysia by participating as Platinum Sponsor in their 18th Annual Charity Treasure Hunt that was held on 27 & 28 April 2019. The contribution to this event will indirectly support Hospis Malaysia’s efforts in providing the professional palliative care.
As part of PESTECH’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda under environmental initiative, PESTECH has collaborated with Malaysia Nature Society (MNS) in organising the Bagan Lalang Beach Cleaning and Seed Harvesting on Saturday, 27 April 2019. This activity was one of PESTECH’s effort to protect the nature and the planet.
PESTECH participated in Bursa Bull Charge again for this year as an Ongole Sponsor. This event that was held on 27 September 2018 brings together capital market players with the aim to raise awareness and promote financial literacy and social entrepreneurship and at the same time help improve the lives of the underprivileged communities. This year, the BBC was more environmental-friendly and impactful to the wellbeing of our runners and beneficiaries, in line with the direction of Sustainable Development Goals.
PESTECH had participated in the IEM Engineering Week 2018 as the Gold Sponsor. It was aimed to enhance and publicise the image of engineering profession amongst the community in line with the Government’s effort to increase the number of engineers to meet the demands of Vision 2020. The event was held from 12-18 August 2018 and consist of two (2) programs, i.e. IEM Engineers and the Science, Technology & Mathematic (STEM) Competition.
PESTECH is an Exclusive Sponsor of the Perspectives Cambodia, a youth development program organized by Union Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC). Amongst the activities held during this program were public speaking and debate. In the program, students from different educational institutions across Cambodia participate on topics associated to various sectors. These topics help create voices to promote further public understanding on various social and issues related to Cambodia.
The Charity Giveaway Program was a joint partnership initiative with Electricite du Cambodge (EDC) and a voluntary team from Malaysia. The objective of this program was to help the poor families, the homeless and less fortunate children in Cambodia by donating food and daily necessities such as rice, oil, towels, sarong, milks etc.
During the 3-day event, amongst the villages that we have visited were Kampong Praka Village (floating village), Krang Veng Village and Pteas Ko Village. In total, we have served 475 families and 500 homeless people.
As part of our CSR initiatives, PESTECH had organized the Medical Camp in Kampong Speu, Cambodia from 2 to 3 June 2018. In this 2-day medical camp, PESTECH had collaborated with Union Youth Federation of Cambodia (UYFC), His Excellency Hun Many’s Voluntary Medical Team, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre as well as the Government and private healthcare professionals from Malaysia.
