– Memorandum of Understanding between PESTECH and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman |
The Board of Directors of PESTECH wishes to announce that the Company had on 13 September 2017 entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (“UTAR”) to promote collaborative efforts in joint projects, exchange of ideas and facilities and to facilitate industrial study visits and industrial placement.
(PESTECH and UTAR are hereinafter referred to as “Parties”)
Information of UTAR
UTAR is a university offering courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the areas including Accountancy, Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Arts and Social Sciences, Chinese Studies, Malaysian Studies, Business and Economics, Engineering and Built Environment, Information and Communication Technology, Life and Physical Sciences, Medicine and Health Sciences, Media and Journalism, Education and General Studies, Agriculture and Food Science, and engages in the provision and conduct of research, consultation, management and leadership training and other related educational services at its campuses at Bandar Sungai Long and Kampar in Malaysia.
The MOU is intended to establish a basis upon which UTAR and PESTECH may explore areas for cooperation. In this regard, the Parties agreed to the following goals and objectives as part of their collaboration programmes:-
a) to initiate joint projects involving collaborative research and to share expertise and joint development of research;
b) to facilitate exchange of ideas and facilities among the Parties, including human resource development, staff attachment and mutual visits by staff members to pursue research, curriculum development, and to participate in seminars, conferences, workshops and etc relevant to the industry;
c) to facilitate industrial study visits of UTAR undergraduate and postgraduate students and mutual visits by staff members of the Parties where appropriate for the purpose of enhancing learning experience, professional development and curriculum development; and
d) to facilitate industrial placement of UTAR students.
This MOU shall come into effect for a period of three (3) years with effect from the date of the MOU and may be extended upon mutual agreement thereafter.
